Winter Break and the NYC Blizzard of 2016

Hello all!!  I hope your holiday season was amazing and this new year is treating you well so far! I like to think 2016 is off to a good start, since the first two weeks were spent doing absolutely nothing and loving it. I thankfully was able to spend a month at home in the Blo with my family and friends and returned to NYC just in time for the GIANT storm to hit. Being from the self-named snow capital of the US, I wasn’t expecting much from this storm, but when the city ends up with more inches in a day than Buffalo has had all year so far, I was eating my words. I love snow storms so I was in my glory watching it blow around from my window. Later that night my friends and I grabbed our makeshift sled (a literal box) and walked around the empty streets finding some perfect drifts to sled (roll) down.

Here are some pictures from the past month I’ve decided to share. The spring semester starts tomorrow so we shall see how these new classes and stresses treat me. Soon enough my second year of college will be over, which is crazy since I still feel like I’m fifteen years old…

My cousin from Oregon spent Christmas with us this year and it was so great to spend time with her, coloring and watching Grey's Anatomy. This was taken the day after (a disgustingly green) Christmas.

This is what happens along Lake Erie in the winter. Did you see the "Carsicle" on the Today Show? That was right behind me in this picture, being thawed and towed away.

When you're in the Blo it's required you go to a Sabres game. Even if it sucks, you still have to.

I truly wouldn't mind if it was like this every day, if all I had to do was sit inside and watch it.
