This past weekend I dragged my weekend bags over to JFK and took the very lengthy one hour flight back to the Blo town (I’m from Buffalo, have I mentioned that yet?). My uncle from Washington made the decision to celebrating his wedding back home on the East Coast where most of my family lives, so I’ve been planning and looking forward to this weekend for a while. It was my first time home since August and even though it was a mostly chaotic three days, with wedding setup and a commercial I had to film, I’m still very glad I could be with my family again. Big family gatherings are one of my favorite things in the world. My cousins and I are all way too crazy for our own good, so whenever we are allowed to go absolutely insane, dancing to Cha Cha Slide and Madonna and our signature move “The Shopping Cart”, it’s a good time. Also, since I have some family members out in Oregon and Washington, being able to see some of them the few times a year they come to visit is always worth the trip.
My next time home will be for Thanksgiving break and I have a nice film project planned with my chums so I am looking forward to that. For now I will enjoy my freedom and ability to lay in bed all afternoon with next to no judgement from anyone.
