A Brief Summary on Me Myself and I

I’m not quite sure how to go about this, so I guess I’ll just go ahead and start. As you know, my name is Victoria and I’m nineteen years old, which is the final age of your life where it’s socially acceptable to not have a clue as to what you’re doing. While I’m still trying to figure this all out, I’m about to start my second year of college, at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where I’m studying Film and Media.

The college process was a ridiculously stressful one for me (like it isn’t for everyone). I really didn’t know what I wanted to do, or if I even wanted to go at all. I always knew I wanted to entertain people, and when I finally starting piecing all of my interests together, I realized filmmaking was the only thing I could ever imagine myself doing. Transporting people to another place, and making someone feel such strong emotions, the same ones I feel every time I watch a movie, simply from a script and pictures on a screen excited me.

My first year of college wasn’t exactly perfect and I still tend to wonder if going to college in general was the best choice for me, but I am determined to make this year a better one; which is where this website comes in. Besides sharing projects I’m working on in and out of school, I want to further appreciate the city I’m now privileged to live in. Through this website, I hope to do that, whether it be by sharing cool things I find and do, spreading the knowledge I’ve learned about this insane city to people wanting to become an “official New Yorker” or just forcing myself to take more pictures and share the beauty New York City has under the layers of garbage (something I need to look for more). So, if you’re so inclined, you can join me on my journey of artistry and self discovery.

Thanks for reading and I hope this is the start of a beautiful friendship.
